An overnight freeze and daytime highs in the 60's with full sun set the stage for a very good day of spring skiing. A light Monday crowd kept the line at 2-3 min and later, skied right on. The Mainline from summit to base is still well covered and seems like it should make it until closing date, 4/11.

So why only 2.5 Stars?
Limited Terrain
Limited Lifts
Limited Snowmaking

They didn't make enough snow on runs like Eisenhower and Racer's, and their entrances were sketchy and filled with rocks. Without the F or Z lifts, Upper K-27 is essentially unaccessible unless you walk uphill. The return to mid-station from The Cliff was also sketchy and could have used some snow farming. Claire's was closed. Skis got fairly beat up too.

So overall, the skiing was very good especially down the Mainline. Compared to previous years though, the quantity and quality of terrain and cover were noticeably less and so, the Mountain is awarded 2.5 Stars for very good skiing on limited terrain. Having the Westside open with its high-speed lift, running the F-lift, and having better cover on the mountain as a whole would have earned it a perfect 5, but not this time.

I was there Sunday....had a great day in the sun.....beers in the lot afterwards....

Our goal.....not ride the 6pack once.....lol. Lapped the D, F, and North from about 9-1. Had some nice laps going.....was interesting mixing it up to avoid the 6pack line......we skied on all morning....sun laps...felt great.

Yes...nasty hidden rocks on Racers Edge....have some work to do this week. My C98’s were not happy.

Yes...limited terrain with West not open....

Runs of the day:
-K laps
-The Cliff
-Hellgate
-anything in the Sun.....
