It looks like that avalanche was induced since the camera was set on the exact area. Was it set by the highway dept.?

I don't really know for sure but highly likely that it was intentionally triggered as the area between Revelstoke and Golden is aka Rogers Pass, and has several slide paths and gets regular highway closures for avy control work.
