Good idea, especially the pivot slips. I think it's transitioning from the AXs and getting off the edges that is more an issue. But when I take the fatties out it is a powder day and I just don't do drills on a powder day even if I should.

Sure was happy to see some snow on our mountain today!

@Jerez After re-reading your original post about difficulties switching between skis, may I ask: do you do any drills when getting on new skis? I found that falling leaf is great for adapting fore-aft stance to new sticks. Pivot slips and hockey stops are always good to feel the new edges.

Very true. This is what I do on a new ski as well.

Drills on a powder day is a sacrilege. But there is always time for one or too falling leafs to warm up and to find the ski sweet spot.
