I must be really lucky, never have ticks. Can’t remember the last time I have seen one, it’s been years.

Permethrin works. Still gotta check for ticks every 4 hours or so, but I haven’t found one really embedded since I started treating clothes with permethrin. I usually go six washes between applications. Cold water, not hot.
