We want to give everyone a heads up. A lot of the threads in the Ski School have historically had useful information and healthy interactions in the first few posts, but would then degrade after a while. Going forward, if we see this happen, we'll try to lock the thread early on, for everyone's benefit. Please understand this, and refrain from picking up the same train wreck in a new thread.

As usual, our simple rules apply: don't be an ass, and don't be overly sensitive (because that too can be perceived as being an ass). Otherwise, keep it friendly, keep it focused, keep it high level. Remember also, when you are responding to a thread, you are not only replying to the person commenting or asking the question but also the thousands of eyes reading the thread that might also have the same question or thought.

We are doing this for fun, after all. And you are very likely exchanging posts with your next ski buddy :)
