La Palma Volcano

Maybe I've just been hiding from the news too much, but I haven't seen this covered much here in the US. With relatives in Andalusia, we've been watching this horrific eruption of the Volcanos on La Palma. It's been erupting for over a month. First one mouth now five. Pulverizing homes, schools, churches. How can something so horrible be so beautiful?

Yeh, we have this live camera feed on during the daytime (WFH hours).

Notice the stats at bottom:
2122 residences destroyed. 29 thousand tons of sulfur dioxide per day - slightly less than 4 1980s era coal plants. The lava eruption rate is 66m^3/second - or about the size of a world-class rafting river.

Anyone still paying attention? Since this thread started, Cumbre Vieja opened another lava vent, Semeru went off with ash and lahars, and even Pinatubo did a little steam number.
