Lots of shops that sell Head/Fischer/Tyrolia have the shims.
Don’t know if the R16 shims are the same as the RC4 race binding which are common.
It’s listed as Fischer Tuning Kit 2014, which has screws and shims.

Brakes available were: 85, 95, 110, 130, 150

Be warned, ski companies make and sell shims, but typically only for race bindings. I don't know if they are available for the R16 or not. You also have to get longer screws which are hard to find and special thread. I had to make my own shims, special order screws and hand grind them to the proper length. Depending on what's available, it could be much easier to do

For what binding?

I haven't tried them yet (just placed an order), but it seems like universal toe/heel binding lifters are available here.
They’re the people that make the beastly wax scraper sharpener. Will eat the Mantec for breakfast. It’s a real tool.
I have one of their side edge guides. Super solid stainless.

Tried these at Killington yesterday. Probably will need to have them ground to have the bring the base level down from 1 degree (this is my guess) to around 0.7-0.75, but overall really liked them.

Also, usually I don't really care about the color of my gear, but I have to say, I absolutely love the look of the boots/skis combo.

The pair I bought here on the forum are .75/3. I really like these skis! I cruise comfortably at 25-30 mph. Top speed so far this year has only been 40 mph but there certainly is room for more.
My older graphics match my boots too :)

Okay guys... I never been out West... I got super lucky and was able to book Breckenridge ski in/out for President week 2023 on my time share... wondering if I should bring my own skis or easier to get demo skis... I ended up custom fitting my Dalbello 120 mx ski boots myself to my duck feet... Love'em now... amazing what you can do with a heat gun, temp laser, and boot stretcher from Amazon... :) ..... I have Kore 93 and Fisher RC One 86gt of course.... boots I'm pretty sure I can sneak on as a carry on... don't know how safe for skies... already bought non-stop flights to and from... any tips would be appreciated... was thinking of just boxing the skis up with the shipping boxes they came in or should I buy something else... thanks in advance...

Depends on how much you want to spend versus ease of travel. If it were me I would take both pairs. Get a decent double ski bag, I use the Thule Roundtrip. Be prepared for the crowds. Presidents weekend is the most crowded of the year at Breck, as well as a blackout weekend for some of the Epic Passes so make sure you get a non-blackout pass.

I'd suggest you do a weight check of the two pairs of skis. I am not sure what length you are talking here on the skis, but the RC One is not a lightweight. I have a double ski bag, but the 2nd pair of skis is my wife's, and they are considerably smaller/lighter (150cm length vs 182 cm for me). I am able to pack some other stuff in the bag and stay below the 50lbs.

As far as demoing- it is really easy to demo something like the Kore 93 or other softer snow biased skis at Breck. You will find it harder to demo something hard-snow biased like the Fischer that's not a noodly beginner/intermediate ski (with dull edges).

AMR in Breck (in the same strip mall as City Market on the north end of town) has a lot of high end demos available. If you want to rent you could give them a call and see what they will have for the upcoming season.

Not in the east.
Anyway, it’s on sale for 4x demo price.
This ski is well-respected by many here, including me. Just check out this thread: https://www.skitalk.com/threads/long-term-review-2020-fischer-rc-one-gt-86.14828/

$350 for 2021’s model. Flat skis in many sizes (161,168,175, and 182).

I'm think'in demos just for the fact it will be a pain with Uber to the airport and from etc... I'd would like to demo something different from what I own... but most definitely want good skis... what I found so far wasn't appealing... older Kore 93 mostly .... I have 2022 and really like them for what they are... 2021 and before are softer... but again would like something different so thanks and will start checking it out... but really want to take my 86gts also.... hmmm

I'm less knowledgeable on Breck than some areas, so please correct me where best, but...

it seems like AMR is away from the base lifts, so harder to switch out demos there.

It might be possible on a different day to try a shop at the base of the lift,
Christy Sports Main Street, which is at the base of the #9 lift, and has a lot of good demo skis also - busier that weekend,
but maybe almost comparable in terms of demo offerings.

It would then be possible to switch out demo skis to get in multiple demos each day at that Christys.
And then on a different day, go for the possibly greater selection of demo skis from AMR, dunno.

Probably at both places, a reservation long in advance for demoing would be needed for each day,
since that is the busiest demo weekend of the season.
(At most Christys locations, demo reservations open up sometime later this month,
I was told by a person at the Breck Christy Lone Star location.)

The closest rental that I am aware of is Breck Sports in the building at the base of the Beaver Run superchair. Otherwise all the shops are a walk away from the rental shops. Could be one at the base of Peak 8 and 7, not sure as I rarely go in those spots. Breck Christy Lone Star is at the bottom of 4 O'Clock road and is not convenient for switching out, the closest lift is Snowflake up the hill. AMR is in the same building as City Market north across the parking lot from the gondola. It wouldn't be the most convenient place to switch skis during the day but really no better or worse than any other with the exception of Breck Sports. To be honest I have no idea what "demos" Breck Sports has.

You can try to ship them ups, fedex and have them waiting for you at the condo.

What tunes have people been putting on their RC One GT 86's? I still have the factory tune on mine.

As a regular at Breck, you would know better on this firsthand than I would, probably. :)
So I would appreciate your clearing up details on this for me.

Christy's Main Street (close to the base of lift 9), not Christy's Lone Tree, was the one folks recommended to me as easiest to switch skis out at.
Dunno. (Things being equal, in my current ignorance, I'd probably prefer to be returning to lift 9 for rentals than the Gondola, which dumps out at lifts 7 & 8, I believe, and has a lot of fairly poor if skiable terrain under it.) If you say the Main Street Christy's isn't that close to Lift 9, then guess I was misinformed. Sorry. But, just to be sure, maybe you just misread what I posted?

(I am familiar with renting at multiple Christy's locations myself - a good selection of the standard popular, most likely to sell, all mountain skis, usually excluding the longest - and shortest - in each model, and biased a bit towards one ski quivers, rather than specialist skis.)
