Longer ski jackets that cover your behind on chairlift?

The problem is no matter how good the pants if you sit on a snow covered chairlift you compress the snow it melts and becomes water under pressure.

I often brush scrape the snow off with my hand as I'm getting on the chair or riding up so that I don't sit on it the whole time. Seems like a simple solution for that particular problem. Doesn't help with ice, or just generally cold chairs though.
