Ciclamino is NOT spelled "purple".
<ThreadDrift>
Thanks for the epiphany, Tuna. I just realized that Ciclamino == Cyclamen. From a jersey color and etymology point of view it's coming together for me. I'm now wondering in addition if the inclusion of "cicla"/"cycla" is a coincidence or part of someone's cunning plan to amuse us bike racing fans.

Also, cyan is not spelled "turquoise".
Well I can understand the confusion at least...

There's also this, which I don't really think should exist... who edits these things?

That turquoise isn’t.
Here's the Pantone definition - looks pretty close to the pic above... of course, actual color will depend quite a bit on your monitor. Colors on computers are not very well standardized unless you do a proper calibration and have a monitor capable of being accurate. All of that said - I'm a little bit color blind and sometimes not great with seeing subtle differences. And what people call certain colors and how they actually defined may vary. And the color of actual turquoise and what color is named turquoise could be different too.

It’s up for interpretation I suppose. I go with blue, not green.

I interpreted that as pattern extension. It's become trendy to use the infinitive of a verb as a noun instead of its conventional noun form. Example: "That was a total fail." (Not "That was a total failure.") This thread title merely extends that pattern. Whether you LIKE it is something else again.
Uuggh. Horrible. Say it ain’t so. ‘Fail’ is a special case, ‘lose’ is not.
Far worse then every other talking sports head moron using ‘good’ instead of ‘well’. Like, “he played good.”
