We’ve been saying this for several years now. It’s something of a mystery why Nyman is stiil out there. He’s not Johan Clarey, who’s also 1981, and finished 6th. Nyman was 58 out of 61 finishers.
Yep, we usually wait until second or third week of March for this debate/discussion.
But no reason it can't start earlier. ogsmile

Ahem
You got the trifecta!
;)

Does anyone know the extent of Mauro Caviezel’s injuries? It looked like he was unconscious before he even hit the ground, very strange
Hope he’s okay

Arviddson looked good again till he didn’t… Nice save!

Yep, every dog has its day. Wish I would have got the women SL correct, and another step towards 87.

So Beaver Creek Birds of Prey coming up! They got snow on the course recently, training was cancelled yesterday. There is also weather forecast for the west off & on through the weekend. Hoping for the best but…
:crossfingers:

I have a saying…
“If you want it to snow schedule a ski race, if you want it to dump schedule a downhill!”

That’s a big field, no?
Good to see Germany has one entrant born this century. Only 3 total who started.

On Ed Drake's podcast they said Mauro Caviezel did not have any brain bleeding on his MRI but still has had ongoing issues from prior injuries. Something like he couldn't ski with his head down in a tuck for more than 10 seconds before things got blurry. Sounds like an NFL player and not sure what the protocol is but it's time for him to retire.

He's on all the podcast platforms, apologies for linking to Crapple.

Ed Drake is a skilled race announcer with a great delivery, not harsh or mumbling like so many. Plus you can actually talk to him on social media and he has a good sense of humor. In my dream world he'd call every WC race and they'd all be free for streaming and network broadcast.

Thanks

Yes, I was disappointed that he wasn’t the commentator for ski and snowboard live.

Any inside information on the weather & if this race has a chance of happening? It has been dumping snow & windy all day in Tahoe.
I am thinking winter storm warning for tomorrow in Beaver Creek.

Friday BC hourly forecast... total precip listed as 3-7"... the wind gusts may be worrisome.

Are any of the DH races (BC / LL) on NBC or Peacock today?

Peacock should have Beaver Creek today. Beaver Creek is on the NBC listing Saturday and Sunday.

Lake Louise should be on US ski and snowboard live.

BoP canceled due to snow and wind. Tough year so far.

Thanks. Saves me from avoiding results!
Kinda figured it wasn’t gonna happen.
Fingers crossed for the rest of the weekend.
