Done for the season. I put so many "to do" on the back burner, I don't have any empty spaces back there any more. Time to clear them off the list.

This kept me stoked last couple of seasons. For those who have the same bug, hope it does the same for you.

Shot by a good friend from our Liberty mogul posse a couple of years ago. This year he's teaching his son to ski :)

We probably had 5-6 peeps in the gang that year, now up to around 15-20 this year :) We even got some folks from the US Olympic mogul team to do video coaching sessions for us on a couple of the best weekends which the peeps loved. It's turnin' into A Mogul Scene ;)

> At about 2:39 somebody comes very close to a beginner who has no idea somebody is there

The gapers - Why do they always stop & fall right in the Mainline? I guess cause the moguls are muuuuuch deeeeperrrr there arghhhh

2:39 - maybe a tad close but within prescribed tolerance. I would have made my presence know with a verbal warning or heads up.

That was fun to watch. They were blowing snow for you.

The opening sequence descends through a moderate gradient mogul field I expect from the visual was likely somewhat firm. It's psychologically healthy to watch our youtube videos. Very familiar shapes to this person I would flow through on edges but not following the rut line. Best of luck Liberty Bros!

Am glad I youtube published the 8 POV bump runs down Little Dipper near season end as now have something to look at occasionally during the off season. Also so easy now to have anyone see my skiing as I just tell them on youtube to search "little dipper bumps" as I dominate search hits in that category now haha since mine is a 9 video playlist that automatically will play all 8 skiing videos in sequence though note the first video is just the lift ride view.

With POV capture, terrain from a bent downward helmet GoPro mount won't look as steep as it really is or skiing makes it out to be. So watching for the patient, the first video lift ride view, Little Dipper from Comet Express chair, presents a sobering view. Since I pointed the GoPro lens more downward during the first 4 runs, it better captures what my shovel ski edges are doing with the icy conditions, that are not always well played haha. From RUN 5 on I point the lens higher with just tips showing, so better capture the flow of upcoming terrain. In front of my 24" 4k display, at eyes in front 2/3 height, watching focused on center screen 2/3 to screen top, swaying body and head back and forth synced to each turn, can internally feel skiing muscles, making each turn by looking at the upcoming slope at. I increasingly see where to turn by the video alone and get that same feeling of flow as when I skied it.

At times I've played a same sequence over and over to understand what I'm doing. On the RUN 7 video, at 1:55 minute point I descend some most steep and carved up into more 3-D shapes bumps. Look at my sequence after 2:21 noting how my skis while unweighted, orient their direction to each next inclined surface my visual brain saw and how I time an early exit for each next terrain knee for next turns. In other words I don't ride out edging in each scallop convex surface shade but rather by what I see and feel am continually adjusting depending on the bump shapes. On some spines above knees, I quickly bounce off getting my skis up unweighted where while relaxing into gravity falling, I can rotate them around for the next fall line concave surface shape.

Typical for southern PA... we rarely get soft moguls in mid-winter (and need to catch a very short spring window for soft spring bumps). The blowing snow on a day like that helps. In the first section of the video, the first set of bumps is rated double-black, and it's fairly steep at about 30 degrees for a few turns. The second set is a blue run, but can have very deep toughs and steep moguls sometimes.

Hey @Seldomski - is that post legit? With all the phishing going around these days it looks suspicious - like some-one hacked your skitalk account. Then again, maybe I'm just paranoid....
