Without it @Tricia would be feeding me through a tube
And I'd be driving the SS Skitalk to Sun Valley tomorrow! After getting @Philpug of the hill, of course. Definitely a more technically challenging ride today. Lots and lots of rocks.

A grand fall ride yesterday up into the fairly high country.

The "other" ski area in the region. The trail I was on actually ends at the summit. I never ride quite that far because it involves a lousy 3 mile doubletrack section.

A beautiful lake view on the way back down, with Glacier Park in the background.

After the rocky ride with @Philpug yesterday I knew I needed some work in the rocky, technical sections (and all the other sections!). I went back up today and rode it again but stopped several times to go back and do a problem section two or three times until I could do it. The biggest challenges are climbing switchbacks with rocks at the top of the turn. They're not bad going down as you can roll over them with gravity. Going up and trying to keep moving while not getting a bunch of pedal strikes is different. I was able to do most of them but still need work on a few others.

Are you using 155mm pedals?

Game changer in uphill or flat rocky singletrack

I had another pleasant ride today. Nothing strenuous.

Looking up French Gulch. Nice colors

It appears there is a googlie eye bandit in the 'hood. Ironically the person who's dog got in the way of my riding companion had to have walked by this sign only moments before. The dog owner thought it was funny that my friend had to make an emergency maneuver to avoid the dog. Some people.

I may have to return with my pack saw for this. There haven't been many downed trees this summer so I stopped toting it around.

I was out walking with the lad today and yeah, the full green is gone, giving way to yellow and brown already.. It's in the mail...
