I have one of those Manitous sitting in my garage, had it on my old Trek 8000 which was my first Aluminum MTB. First MTB I had was in the early/mid 80s, a Fuji Suncrest, all rigid.

I had one of those, too. At the time, it was an "upgrade" from the hydraulic Rockshox that were very high-maintenance.

Living in the damp, sodden PNW at the time, the Pro Trick was to drill a hole in the bottom of each side to let entrapped water drain out.

We've come a long ways!

Isn’t the joke the roots on a hard tail and groomed path on fs in 2021?
