Wow... you've really gone off the deep end.

dbostedo's list of appropriate things to dip fries in:
  1. Ketchup
  2. Gravy
  3. Cheese sauce
  4. Frosties
  5. Nothing
That's it!

I generally like my fries naked except for Nathan's which require ketchup. I am pretty flexible about what I'll eat on them but plain mayo isn't high on the list. Chipotle or cajun mayo OTOH is awesome on just about anything, IMO. The fry sauce would probably be acceptable.

what no love for the traditional salt and vinegar, washed down with a pint.
Mayo for second place. Belgians make great fries and Belgian beer is very good.

sinking to putting on ketchup and having a bud is a cry for help.

Ya no, unless you're actually drinking in moderation..

Funny Cinco memories. When mom was living near us before assisted living we'd all go out ever Wednesday night. She'd either order a vodka martini or a margarita. However, more and more often as the dementia was taking hold she would order a Vodka MARGARITA. Should have seen the look the staff bounced back when she said that. Ya, some things just don't go good together..

We'd always correct it asking if she meant vodka martini or regular margarita..

I go for patatje oorlog when available. Equal globs of mayo and sate sauce get to fight it out on top of my fries. There's a new place in Portland, Maine that serves their oorlog with curry ketchup as well. I won't hold it against them though.
Curry + Mayo + onion is called 'speciaal'
'Oorlog' also has onions

But this is the pinnacle of Dutch fast food dishes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kapsalon

Apparently there are 1500 "National Days." For the record, today is International Left Handers Day, as well as National Prosecco Day, Garage Sale Day, Bowling Day, and Filet Mignon Day. We may not have jurisdiction over International Days. Plus, I'm a southpaw, so I have some affinity for a left hander's day. Otherwise, I could support every day being National Un-Day, on which you do not observe any of the "National Days," or perhaps condensing them all into a National "National Day" Day, which could be observed whenever a blue moon falls on February 29th, but only if you feel like it.
If you look at my post from yesterday in the Today in History thread I said it was National Left Hander's day. Not sure if anyone saw it but now we have a thread just dedicated to all sorts of "Days".

Generally, I'm with you on nothing. All that truly good fries need is a little salt.

And, for me, 17 thumbs down on vinegar.

Why would you take hot, crispy fries, and add something that makes them soggy?!

Ewww...
I like fusion as much as the next guy. But that is a hard no.

So you are saying you are a fake.

You are not normal but you wanted to appear normal.
I thought so too, but we had a friend over for dinner one night and she did that to dip her asparagus in. It was tasty. Try it.

Oops, no go. Used up all the mayo for a big batch of chicken salad.
Will try it when Mamie pick up a new jar at Costco.

Adding a little bit of crushed pineapple to your chicken salad is really good too.

Pineapple is not a stock item in our pantry.
We like craisins in our chicken salad. Along with celery, onion and carrots. We also add one or more of the following, apple, pear and mango. Depends on what is in the frig and how dead the chicken is.

I have craisins. I'll have to try that.
