New old skier from Ohio. First learned to ski at Brandywine in 1982 in highschool ski club and skied until maybe the mid 90s. Came back out 3 weeks ago and already bought new gear after renting for 2 weekends. Gear has changed alot since I last skied.

A lot more snow boards than I remember. And helmets. I joke that back in my day we didn't wear helmets, we just laid in the snow bleeding until ski patrol picked us up.

Back in the day I never used a helmet .
Last season after a long absence from skiing I bought one the same day I bought my boots. Had a pretty big hit one day in a whiteout and I think it paid for itself
