Happy to see women ski patrollers in the limelight, but I’m disappointed that Kim Kircher of Crystal Mountain nor any of the badass patrollers at that Tahoe 1960 Winter Olympics resort or Snowbird who also do serious avalanche control work was featured in the article.

Instead of just ranting here... I found the journalist's email online and just wrote to her.

FWIW, there is some odd timing of this article coming out right after significant loss of female presence in the NSP leadership. SAM has a brief article on it, https://www.saminfo.com/headline-news/9733-moszynski-out-at-nsp-board-chair-s-comments-under-fire .

For those concerned with diversity and inclusion in ski patrols, I highly recommend following along with altnatlskipatrol https://www.instagram.com/altnatlskipatrol/

Hey Jake!

Just clicked through the thread on the "practice" strike at Park City and thought you raised some awesome points. Thanks for the link to Alt NSP. Hilarious.

This season has been going well, about half way through sled training. We gotta get out and tour together! You've been super helpful in my ski patrol journey, seem like a rad dude, and I definitely owe you a beer. Maybe some spring objectives.
