Huge soft slushy spring bumps requiring turn to turn airing to maintain speed. Not something I can do. Notice how much more in that era, upper body movement, especially shoulder movement that in this modern comp moguls era is judged negative?

Longer poles back then made exaggerated upper body motion mandatory. They use shorter poles these days to keep the hands and arms quieter..

Those were much longer skis being skied in resort bumps. Could be part of the reason for increase in upper body involvement.
Great skiers skiing well.
