My guess is they’re going under. It would have been great for it all to work out, but it seems unlikely that’s going to happen.

Not necessarily but going through a complex crowd funding to raise minimum cash that will pay your general expenses for 12 days scarcely feels like the saving grace. Unless the whole thing is just bait to hook a whale or two.

@Wasatchman send me $75 in crypto and we can put @Wade on our banned list. @Wade send me $150 in crypto and we will take @Wasatchman's money but put him on the banned list instead of you.

Fine print bans not guaranteed and subject to yet to be started negotiations with SkiTalk

All joking aside, setting up a crowd funding campaign has become relatively simple thanks to all these platforms that offer this as a turnkey service. Seems to be working for Peak as they have already raised over $322K. So quite frankly this seems like a pretty simple way to raise funds legitimate or not.

Done. I have an account we can use to facilitate the whole thing. I just need socials and dates of birth and we're good to go. :)

How about I pay you $1meellion of my newly to be minted crypto, the Brocoin ( no doubt good for a pair of Renoun skis) and you set up a jelly wrestling match between @ Wasatchman and @Wade with @ dovski tagging in and I'll ban myself while retaining global streaming rights.

I am starting to see why skitalk needs so many moderators, I am also realizing that in addition to skiing @fatbob has a passion for Jelly Wrestling .... did not realize this was a thing, but just like the Peak Ski crowd funding, @fatbob will have to pursue this passion of his without me.

Well after some of the ski videos videos my $ is on Wade in the wrestling. But to stay true to form there have to be skinny ski references. Hey if you donate enough you might get a badge too. No guarantees of course.

does this mean we can end the Peak thread and shift to a never-ending jelly wrestling thread? :yahoo::duck:

It's over. The more I look at the Form C and rip apart their Business plan, the assumptions they made, the OPEX, there is zero way forward. Less than $3M in Sales and $6.9M in Opex? even if they double market share to 10,000 pr they still dont make it. The market has zero patience for high growth companies that don't have even a reasonable eye on short term profitability. $2.8M in Marketing and ads, $3.6M in General expenses (high salaries) $200K in inventory? there is nothing to sell either. $8M convertable note and all gone in 12 months? I would not be surprised if management was sued.

@Philpug how much to ban @cantunamunch for suggesting a jelly wrestling thread ... while we are at it can we also ban some of the moderators for their lack of moderation, @fatbob will pay in untold amounts of his newly minted crypto lol

Peak topsheets are whack. It sounds shallow, but this stuff matters.

They would be in a 20% better position if they took design cues seriously like Blossom does for example. Italian design is just to die for.

Peak should lean in to Americana aesthetics for their next models. Not this boring grey drab and generic logo. And get rid of By Bode Miller. Or maybe, should just rebrand to Bode Miller and get rid of Peak. Peak sounds so boring. Bode Miller sounds American as f.

Maybe the crowd sourced $$ are for inventory lol That said their financials are radioactive, and I am not sure their sales constitute a "high growth company". Now all that being said and done this could make for an interesting episode of SharkTank and what is crazy is that they might even get a deal there lol

how do they plan on making their numbers this year with only $200K in inventory? Looks like they spent cash on opex and don't have additional inventory coming in for 2023. Clearly management paid themselves and ran the business into the ground. $56K in cash on hand? They most likely cant pay Elan for skis they built. For all budding entrepreneurs, this is a classic case of what NOT to do when starting a business. I feel bad for Dav, JT Holmes and Michelle Parker for being a part of this.
