In early February the Northway Chair had some mechanical difficulties. They were able to restart it and get everyone off, but the approximately hundred of us who were in line had to walk out "13F", a level trail acoss the base of the mountain back to the base area.

I saw this tree from the Northwest lift at Mt. Bachelor yesterday. I wanted to get a good picture of it so I figured out how to ski to it today. Luckily it was the second to last run; not much gas left in the tank!

The poor little guy is only about 4 or 5 feet tall.

How deep is the snowpack? If it was at Mt. Baker it would be 12-15 feet deep. Tree wells are under the surface of the snowpack, not on top of it.

I came close to loosing my grandson in a well that looked a lot like that.

High cloudy Wednesday March 3, 2021 Heavenly, Comet Express, Little Dipper. For no good reason other than amusement, pseudo Photoshop sky color for a soft, diffuse lit, bump field. Most of my 10 straight with a few stop, runs were from the red dot along that side.

Looking down a most fine section I can gravity turn softly on edges anywhere making a seated motoring turn stopping at red dot. With it now 3 weeks since fresh snow so metamorphosizing, firming edgeable surfaces, feeling a wee wimpy concerning displaying a rowdy attitude, I had a motto of stopping a lot Wednesday for no reason haha. Too much fun for an old guy could result in hyper excitement trauma and shrinkage.

Looking out Dave's $58 midweek cheap though comfy/clean South Lake Tahoe room with noisy US50 in the background. Run my Lavoit H13 air cleaner as soon as I open any lodging room. Raley's supermarket is a short walk. Gondola is walk to 3 blocks and now have early free AM parking privileges on arriving date and late pm on departure. In the evening while dressing warmly all over, with my earbuds blasting rock, I went out to play my game of urban sidewalk street walking, watching, being a nuisance, d east to the casinos and back, while keeping 6 feet from other primate monkeys.
