Yes, definitely a telephoto lens (100-400mm)...the park has a 50 yard rule unless you're on one of the platforms that are staged on the river's edge. While on the platform my lens occasionally had too much zoom!I hope you are using a zoom telephoto lens, because I think a bear can put run a human.
