Mainly a california thing. Avian flu decimating laying flocks. Anywhere from $5 to $10/doz. If you can get them at all.

the flu followed govt regs that halted a lot of production so it eggsaserbated the problem

In CA:
New cars are sold with warning labels - operation may generate fumes known to cause cancer
I saw a parking garage with a sign enter at own risk - fumes may be encountered that cause cancer.

In Mammoth I walked to the door of a restaurant and saw a sign that said some soft drinks sold here may contain
chemicals known to cause cancer. I quickly turned and left. lol

And my wife wonders why I drink Alcohol. At least I know it will kill me long term.
