We have a similar situation here at home.
The Miramar Peninsula where we live is now officially Predator free. https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-...amar-peninsula-finally-predator-free.amp.html
We now have no possums ferrets weasels stoats rats or hedgehogs. It took us five years. Now that the birds are returning to the area , we are having to close walking tracks when the kareareas (NZ falcon) are nesting as they are highly territorial and tend to attack you. From behind.

Damn it has been a long time since I've eaten walleye. One of the worst things about leaving the midwest is no more walleye.

Unfortunately, I resemble this too.

Have maybe a SkiTalk gathering/trip to Walleye land?

Growing up in Northern MN, before it was so fished out, we could limit out on Walleyes so easily that it seemed like we ate it constantly, to the point of UGH, AGAIN?!

This summer found me back, for some mtb with @Slim, and damn, it's GOOD!

I probably mentioned this one of the times this was posted before but one of my fiends was attacked by an owl while hiking.

I always count it as a good day when one of my FIENDS gets attacked! ;)
