Same thing with yardsticks.

Unlike 11.81in (300mm) rulers the “yardsticks” are now longer. A 1 metre stick is 39.37 inches long instead of 36 in.

Not surprising an NZ went metric. What's available > 1/4 Meter or 1/2 Meter ?
Probably 1/4 since other stuff is shrinking or downsizing.
The US is the only country (others are 3 or 4 tiny tiny countries) dumb enough to not convert.

I think we are actually now the only country left who has not converted to metric. A holdout was Liberia. But they converted.

What’s really silly is most US manufacturing is done to metric specs.
