The Biggest Little Trail Stewardship has been doing a great job at the Sierra Vista Mountain Bike park in Reno. This is the Drop Zone section where you can work your way up the ladder. Soem of the local riders helped with being models.

I'd love to have one of these locally. You know, for those of us who started doing this at forty, not fourteen.

When we were finishing up a ride a few days ago, there was a dad loading his bike and his kid's bike in their car, so I struck up a conversation with them. That kid (maybe 7 or 8) is going to rip when he's a little older.
It was really fun talking to a dad who is just getting into riding, with his son who is getting into it at the same time. Future!!

I started riding when I was 37. So I hear ya.

I played around in the drop zone and rolled over the small rocks. Maybe some day I'll grow a pair like Andy..... Who am I kidding? I won't.

I certainly hope not. That would just be, well, weird. And basically, if I can do it, you can do it!

@Andy Mink , looking great. @Tricia what you are doing there is called "riding" in New England. Roadies can't actually manage that, so you are doing great too.
@Tricia was hitting way bigger stuff on the trail. Just something about this little drop zone area got in her head. After she did it once she went around two or three more times.

Thanks for the kudos! It's funny that I've seriously gotten more air on a bike in the few weeks I've been riding than I did skiing this season.

The pics from the last session left no doubt that this was coming soon.

It’s all fun and games til they put a few trees in the rollout.
That would be a good place to crash in the shade. All the other places I've crashed so far have been exposed and hot!
