OK, I'll put this here. I thought I once saw a thread about outdoor kitchens, but I'm not finding it now. The other BBQ thread seems more food oriented. A project this was, and now it is finally complete and I can share. About four years in process (yes, I slow roll my major projects)
I had wanted to make a "built-in" outdoor kitchen for years. Original idea was to put it under my existing patio. Eventually, we came up with the idea to extend the patio out from underneath the roof.
So first thing was to demo what was there and install a block wall.
Electric, water and drainage installed:
Some time passed before we decided to add travertine pavers over the entire back porch and pool deck. The contractor also put in the concrete kitchen base and the pizza oven base.
Now comes the pavers:
Thus completes the contracted work. Now my DIY skills will be put to the test!
I reviewed and studied many different designs. I wanted to do it myself but have no masonry skills, so I decided on STEEL STUD FRAMING! I developed a rough idea and went to work.
Much of the design was done on the fly...
Coming together!
To be continued...
