not to be morbid but I think I like when someone knows what they wish to convey about themselves prior to dying. I've seen a handful of obit's that the deceased wrote.

Maybe makes things easier on those still here who lost a loved one.

David McCallum talks about being a kid when bombs were being dropped on Britain during WWIi.

Not famous, but a tenant of mine in a rental property way across town died the other day. I first heard about it when the manager of the mobile home park called me and forwarded the daughter's phone number to me. She wanted me to hold off disposing of his personal items until she could get down to Florida. A bit sad but Eugene was 78, a cranky Vietnam vet and not in good health. He paid his rent a week early every month.

The second time I heard this news was from one of the local news channels, apparently Eugene didn't like the way an auto repair shop had treated him 2 years ago, walked into the front office and got into a gun fight with the owner. Both are dead.

RIP

I thought we had a knife thread? I will have to check my J. A. Henckels to see their manufacturer location. I never would have thought Thailand.

That's a one stick figure Henckels. Usually made in China. Never heard of it being made in Thailand.

Distinct possibility of being a knock off of the lower tier Henckels that are not made in Germany. The wear on the handle around the rivet is not right.
