Not skiing related, but this summer while I was rafting on the valley's stream in Trentino, during the mandatory swimming test...saw one of the guides lifting out of the waters a shoe sole...few seconds later a second one was "swimming" by me...both were mine. When entering the waters both soles detached from my shoes (an old Nike running shoes I was keeping for the sole use during rafting). Gopro battery had already emptied due to the water temp and camera had shut off, so, sorry no pics of that are available.View attachment 128141

Porcupine atop Snowdon Mtn. at Killington. Probably on Chute or Bunny Buster, can't recall.
The best part is the guy who told me authoritatively that it was a beaver. Me: "But there's no water around here." Guy: "It's definitely a beaver."
Crazy, where? Never seen one in the wild. I would think high country Mt biking in the summer would be a more likely encounter. Mostly concerned about my lab and the stories I've heard of quills in the face and mouth of a curious pup
