Wow! Technique doesn't look dated either.

Make sure you don't miss the acrobatic sequence starting around 7:02.
The short bit at 8:48 is pretty amazing too.

Do you know the story behind this film? Looks like part of a feature film with a romantic backstory and a pair of rivals.

edit: looks like it is probably
Ginrei no ôja (1960)
also known as Der König der silbernen Berge
IMDB has very little info.

Turns out he was in lots of movies and TV, and was a singer. Did not know that.

Looks almost animated towards the beginning. Fun vid.

Killy came to Mammoth not long after his successful Olympics. Where he dropped in at a steep top section and how few turns he made from there to where it settles out became legend.

quite possible one of the best peers back in history here at Stowe I have seen. also some damn ripping bump and tree skiing from I think the 80s?
I love that bump skier that seems to do a Gene Kelly style heel click. That one piece, is that at the top of Mount Mansfield somewhere out-of-bounds? Cheers

Wow! Almost as bad as David Hasselhoff's "Hooked on a Feeling"!

Here's some trivia for the John Denver Fans:

Q: Do you know John's Denver's last Greatest Hit?

A: The Pacific Ocean!

I looovvvve John Denver, but :roflmao:

It's been in my YouTube favorites for a few years. I don't remember where I first came across it.

i couldn't watch the Vail video. The suffering of the skis just tore me up. The brutality was too much for my delicate personality.
