NJ had a 4.7 earthquake on the Ramapo fault. My whole house was shaking and it was very loud.

Just a little south of you in Burlington County. People have reported feeling it as far north as VT.

Taiwans earthquake was 7.4.
Imagine the difference in strength and what that feels like

We have an app (GEONET) that shows earthquake strength, depth and location.
I had to look it up to find when our last similar earthquake was
Turns out we had a few 4.5 - 4.6 shakes on the West Coast of NZ 4-5 days ago
It hardly even made the news over here
4.6 is rated weak.
I’ve been in a 7.4 it was scary
I was on a roof at the time doing an insurance inspection as part of an earlier 6.3 earthquake.
