Ouch. I've been a fan of ZZ Top ever since an older brother gave me an 8-track tape of their first album in the '72-73 time frame.

I worked as an usher at one of their concerts around 1974 at the old Capital Center in Largo, MD when I had this 8 track too,

My top band in the 70's as a kid, even now as an adult. Had all their albums in the day. If you have not watch the ZZ Top documentary on next Net Flix, highly recommended.

As a ski bum in the early 80, I had "El Loco" engraved on my 207cm Vokl Rentigers. I played this album every morning to juice me up for the day on the hill.

One of my faves.

I remember driving from Worcester to Newport one day for some oceanside pleasures. I was in my '76 Olds Delta 88 Royale.

Somewhere along the way the radio was blasting 'Cheap Sunglasses'. Stopped at a light, I looked to my right to see and hear someone listening to the same radio station, nodding their head, hiding behind some cheap sunglasses.

Small story, good memory.

I saw ZZ Top a few times and it was a thrill every time.

As a kid, I saw them in live music starved northern MN.

Their early days.

Three guys on a 3-foot high stage, with a beige curtain as a backdrop.

The music was all they needed.

RIP Dusty!
