I've been riding motos on the street for 45+ years now. Lots of mile too.
While I agree that certain personality types are likely not suited for the activity, how and where you ride does indeed effect your (potential life long) mileage.

Sadly I'm seeing a lot of cycling deaths in recent years too. In both cases mindless drone 'drivers' are racking up the tally.
Number one killer of motorcyclists is single vehicle accident. In other words, too fast for the skill level.. I do agree though that larger vehicles kill cyclists unfortunately.

That's survival of the fittest at work!
I have (never) had the need for speed. There's old motorcyclists' and there's bold motorcyclists'... but there's very few old bold motorcyclists!
Still 'race' vintage off-road. On road is slow bikes on rural/dirt roads just enjoying the ride and view. Hoping for another 20 years.

Not steel...but a Serotta nonetheless.

I find it odd from both a materials and ride quality perspective that most titanium bikes are paired with plastic (sorry, carbon) forks. I would think a shaped thinwall steel fork would be way more appropriate for them. Likely it's just availability/cost.

Well, without motorcycles, how would we have organ donors?
Been riding motorcycles both on and off road fo 56 years. Still here and intend to continue until I can't support a bike when I stop. Cars move the body, motorcycles move the soul. Only motorcyclists understand why dogs stick their heads out of car windoes!

No, statistically people making left hand turns in front of a motorcycle is the biggest killer. Skill level is a very big factor also.
