Hello all,

I have a short U10 what how far down should a pair of shin guards go I may need to cut them they are close to her ankle. Trying to figure out how long they should be thanks.

Roughly the boot top. You want a little overlap with the boot but not so much that it'll impede with boot flexion.

Usually overlap the first buckle (often the second as long as the boot flexes right still) At U10 as long as it protect the shin, at the upper levels one also needs to protect the buckles too (seen a lot of destroyed buckles). Take a look at the WC skiers to get a gauge. But at U10 don’t need to get too crazy about it.

Look at the shin guards in this video on these WC slalom skiers. They start around 2:50.
