I ran over a pretty big water snake a while back. I was moving but I imagine if you were not going good, it could have whipped up and gotten itself in a bother... I bunny-hopped and I'm pretty sure I missed him..I actually like snakes..

I was cruising some tight single track in Socal years ago, rattler laying across the trail in the morning sun(as they do). I wheelied my front wheel over him but he whipped his head around and bit my non-drive side chain stay right behind my heel. Could of easily ended that way...or he could of stuck his head into the wheel and I don't think that would of ended well.

Broken B-tension screw. The snake is simply there for pulley tension.
