Condolences to family, friends and the Jiminy Peak community. Skied there many times as a kid and it really has grown over the years and is popular option for those not wanting to drive farther north.

Ugh... so sad.
Adding to the tragedy, I can't imagine how that groomer driver is feeling.

Another woman snowmaker was banged up over the weekend. It was a snowmobile rollover.

I imagine there will be some safety protocols put it place. Awful accident.

Seems like everytime I hear about a person being killed by a snowcat it was backing up.

Do they have a camera showing what's behind them? If not they should.

That's so sad. These folks work out in the brutal cold at night so we can enjoy the mountain during the day; respect.

It's dark as hell up there at night. One year a while back a snowmobiler took a jump on a really steep trail. The mountain was closed. It stuck into the back of the groomer. He didn't know the groomer was there and he didn't see him. He lived!

Jiminy is quite steep and sometimes the snow is Zamboni slick. It is possible that the groomer lost traction and slid.
