Not sure it looks inspiring - but Stromm writers are saying all the right words:

Actually sounds pretty interesting. Not possible until recent UCI rule changes/eliminations.

And at $3,400 -- sadly -- it's fairly price competitive.

Luckily, it doesn't look as kooky as the latest idea in mtb!

I know, right?

It isn't kooky at all, really. But maybe a bit ugly.

The sexiest part of the bike is the bars- which aren't new, or on offer. That Stromm fork looks like a bandy-legged cowboy who ordered his boot-cut jeans with Extra Floppy Cuff. And the rest of the bike - I mean I don't even have to squint to see a design lineage to the 3T Strada

- unsurprising since some of the Stromm engineers spent time at 3T -

and an homage to Hooker Elite TT bikes.

My back hurts just looking at the Stromm:geek:

LOL, I was playing with the numbers a bit. The stack on the size large Stromm is shorter than on a size small gravel frame.

Take a Factor LS in 49, jack the seat sky high and stick a 170 mm stem on it....

Stromm size large: CS 375 WB 1002.6 BB drop 55 FC 634 Stack 520 Reach 450
Factor LS size 49: CS 420 WB 990 BB drop 76 FC 582 Stack 530 Reach 378

Or, just go for the 'frugal' version? :geek::geek::geek:

YIKES! Someone grab a hacksaw or pipe cutter.

Just for comparison to the Stromm Track Bike and rider positioning. Here is one of my track bikes in my collection. It had belonged to Antonio Maspas (1968/69 Italian National Champion).
Rider positioning is not too different. Actually the stem is supposed to be lower.
Does your back hurt looking at it?

I pulled the photos and text from my Flickr.

Max chainring size 70t??
sorry Stromm way too small for me

This is standard for track bikes. I mean the capacity. They usually use 60 something to 17t sprocket. Just the other day a track guy was explaining that to me but of course I forgot all the details. He mentioned something about keeping the chain straighter hence the bigger sprocket but don’t quote me on this.

We know - and they use smaller cranks so shorter lever arm :)

He was being ironic, in a "none of us who can take a flyer on the Kickstarter have 20yo-break-55mph-on-the-flat legs any more" way.
