There’s a lot of talk for a new offensive coordinator, which would be an important upgrade imo. Most of the talk is around Leftwich who just got the boot from the Bucs. Personally I’d love to see Tomlin make a big run at Frank Reich. Maybe it’s my Terp bias showing thru, but he’s been a great OC for years, would provide a big upgrade from what the team has had for a while and would be a great mentor for a developing QB like Pickett. Not to mention he’s a PA guy.
I guess you haven't heard but Matt Csnada is coming back as OC. Maybe hire an Assistant OC if a proven OC is still looking for work.

Is Canada "The Guy?" I think we've seen he is not. Then why keep him for the last year of his contract? I see them moving on from him after next season. If so, then why not dump him now, hire someone that the organization feels is "The Guy," and ride with that person. Rip the band-aid off now so as not to impede Kenny's further development.

Tomlin feels he is "The Guy." They would not keep Canada because of his contract. Tomlin saw an improved offense after the bye week, and that's what saved Canada's job. The Steelers, that is to say, the Rooneys, always value consistency and letting the head coach and the GM make most personnel decisions. Art Rooney II must be okay with that decision.

Great picks on paper. Now let's see if they can play at this level. I'm pretty sure that the top 2 can, maybe down to #4, that big tight end who might be a tackle.

Preseason and playing against a bunch of guys competing for the practice squad. But KP and the ones looked sharp. KP put the ball on the money. They are building confidence and trust in each other. Let's see if it pays off.

I’m convinced the offense will never thrive with Canada running the show. They should be much improved this year imo and I think their offensive scheme is holding them back.

I hope you are right about that. That can be fixed. Fire Canada, which isn't happening this season. I fear that Kenny looked like a first-game rookie. Cam is out. Dionte too. Pickens wants more balls. Najjee can't run. Is it talent? Or is it Coach? They "all got kicked in the teeth," said Coach T. So it's too hard for me to say for sure. However, my heart sank when they ran the jet sweep on the second play.

The Browns on Monday Night! The local sports media are reminding us of the Steelers' sterling record against the Browns and on Monday Night Football. I fear another streak will end—Steeler dominance of the Brown at home and winning on Monday Night.

I’d love to be wrong about this and I hate the Browns but I don’t see us beating them. They have a very good defense and the our offense just isn’t good right now.

You have another streak to contend with having just played the San Francisco 49ers.

Time for Canada to go, but Kenny doesn't look as poised as he did last season. That concerns me a lot. The D looked like what we expected, but it took a season ending injury to Chubb to find their groove. I think the Browns would have won if not for that injury. Late in the fourth quarter, The Steelers went into a soft "prevent victory" defense. I thought Watson would pick us apart, score a TD, and run out the clock. I'm screaming at the TV to get after Watson. Finally, they did, and JPJ got away with a hold or pass interference, though the ball was not catchable in bounds. Kenny better find that cool he displayed last season and the accuracy from the preseason. We are not going to get 2 defense TDs a game.

A really good win. I hate to see a player like Chubb get seriously hurt, he’s a baller. Canada needs to go but they won’t get rid of him during the season. Sad part is he’s hearing all the talk and reading the articles and he’s going to be 2nd guessing himself imo.
