Interesting comments on the ESPN pregame show today. Alex Smith, who I know and like from his days in Washington and living near me, was talking about how the Steelers offense needed to change because there was no attempt to disguise what was going on and overall it was unimaginative. The other folks on the show went on to describe it as a high school JV offense compared to the rest of the league.

i’m surely no fan of Canada, but this goes beyond him. When is Tomlin and team management going to put an end to this? They have some great young offensive players, that they are doing a disservice with their offensive scheme, or lack there of. Not to mention, hurting the Steelers chances to win. I don’t get it.

**YINZER PARENTS** Please check your kids' candy this Halloween! I just found a Snickers bar laced with the Steelers offense.

I've seen this weekend's game referred to as the moment when the Moveable Object meets the Stoppable Force LOL

I think that's pretty accurate

Well, the dust has settled and the Stoppable force was able to defeat our Moveable object. over 200 yards rushing against the Pack for the 3rd time this season. Which doesn't surprise me considering our DC.

What to make of this team? Out gained by all 9 of their opponent but with a 6 - 3 record. Pickett looks "below the line" in the first three quarters but then completes over 69% of his passes in the 4th quarter to become comeback Kenny. The defense is ranked #31 but wins games with timely turnovers or sacks and has allowed only 3 points in the 4th. quarter to date. A team that couldn't buy a first down in the 1st. quarter to become a team with opening drive TDs in the last two games.

The defense is 26th by yards allowed, but 11th by points allowed.

By some more advanced stats, DVOA has them at 7th and PFN has them 9th... those stats try to account for schedule and performance of the rest of the team (like if the offense always gives the ball back in good field position for the opponent).

The D played very well until the last drive but yes, the O didn't do it when they had a chance on their last possession. They didn't do much the whole game except for Warren.

I'll take credit. The Browns are 3-0 since I got this out of storage.

Take comfort where you can... the Steelers have locked in tiebreaker #9 if it gets that far.

I listened on the radio. It was at least an exciting game right up until the end. I don't know about any of you guys, but I was kind of stoked when it looked like Trubisky was going to go in.
