Monster 88. :roflmao:

Many good suggestions. At 150lbs, a Rossi Sender would be a better choice than the Sender Ti I mentioned earlier. Enforcer 104 is an easy choice as well.

Is this a Jonathan Ellsworth alt account??

Maybe as a low tide ski if anyone has one in good condition

I went for the hotshots.

Now I need to stop myself from buying an on sale ski for early/late season

Menace 98s? Line Blades?

Hah, very different skis.
I may be selling a Menace 98 with like 8 days on it. Just not my thing. It’s the longer one, 186 or whatever.

I was just about to plug for the Hotshots (which I also just received in the mail!)....and I have the Dynastar menace 98...which is about as about as reliable, and every day workman-like ski for bumps and trees as you can get.

what are your thoughts on mount point for menaces? -8 line or -6?

The back line is -7.75cm back from Center and that’s where I’d go if you’re used to traditional skis. The front “freestyle” line is 1.75cm back from Center. People used to more centered mounts usually split the difference for an “all mountain freestyle” mount so plus 2cm or 3cm from the back line.

Had my 187cm mounted around plus 2cm from the back line and it was good there.

This will be my 17th season at Stevens Pass. I’ve probably skied every “nook and cranny“ on that mountain. At your weight, style, and considered snow conditions, any of those metal laminate models are going to be fine.

I skied the 184 Volkl K108 as my daily driver last year. I also picked up the 192 Dynastar M-Free 108, which was superb for deeper days and in the trees. I also own a 191 Enforcer 104 Free. You have 50-lbs on me, and that ski does have a speed limit. You might overpower it. I hear the Fischer Ranger 107Ti is similar to the strength and feel of the Katana. I’d love to try it.

No opinion at all, I have them mounted on the recommended all-mountain line-not sure which one that is, though (I never stray from factory recommended mount points because what do I know that the ski designers don't?).

Hey @Bandit Man, I enjoy reading your posts over on tgr. I can't remember, were you a Monster fan?
Thanks. Happy someone can benefit from my gear talk.
I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I haven’t skied the latest iteration of the Head Monsters. I probably would have loved the 98. I almost bought a 108 but the reputation of stiff fat carving machine and not so loose in the deep stuff put me off. I do generally prefer stiffer, metal-laminate charger skis, though.

Any update here; I might be in the market for a new 95-105 type ski; I like what some of these smaller brands are doing; Moment; 4frnt; ON3P....though I am also always intrigued by the Fischer Ranger line (though unsure on their new redesign).
I am smaller and lighter but ski aggressive; Palisades 99.5% of the time.
