Just ordered the Lenz 5.1 socks - my 5.0’s are now so worn that the heels are transparent, so good timing that the 5.1 just came out. They claim to be stretchier and retain their shape a bit better, so I am curious to try them out.

Update - they have arrived! In comparison to the 5.0 slim, the 5.1 slim is a little bit bigger in the foot (my feet are size 38, have the small in both 5.0 and 5.1). Not loose, no extra fabric or folds, but definitely stretchier. Big improvement is that the upper cuff that folds over the battery is much longer, more comfortable, and more secure around the battery.

I feel like that would be like trying to ride a bucking horse. The turns would come around so fast that my center of balance would feel like it was in a washing machine.

It's actually a very friendly ski, and it can easily (and beautifully) hold longer-arc GS turns-- so it has more of a hybrid radius.
And quite versatile up to 5" of fresh snow. Wonderful ski! I'm on my fourth pair...

They can be a handful in deep wet snow. Feel the burn.

Spent a couple of hours with the boot fitter this morning... wound up with Atomic Hawx Prime 110s... down from a 28.5 before to a 27.5 in these (unsurprisingly)... left them with several pairs of skis to get adjusted - hopefully not remounted.
