Snow guns are still on and with Snowshoe opening this weekend I would expect that will do everything possible to get open for the weekend as well.

Just heard they may not get to the the surface lift for the terrain park with year. Not that I would use it, but it would take some pressure off the chair lifts.

Another note: after hearing about how 7 Springs wasn't blowing much, I checked out their website. Man am I glad we have the Perfects. Vail it doesn't seem wants to invest in man made snow, counting on mother nature. We have witnessed the "fully operational snow making system" (Thinking Star Wars) Timberline can certainly make snow in a hurry.

"Preview Weekend begins tomorrow!
The team here at Timberline Mountain is excited to bring you 1,000ft of vertical skiing and snowboarding for this first weekend of December! We had an excellent run of snowmaking this week, and terrain is grooming up nicely for what will be an incredible first day of skiing and snowboarding.
Open tomorrow will be three of our most popular runs from the summit; Salamander, White Lightning, and Upper Dew Drop. Off the mid-mountain lift we’ll have Mid-Mountain Crossroad, Whiteout, Lower Thunderstruck, and Winterset. The First Flurries beginner area will be open as well.
Operational status for the week of December 4th is yet to be determined, so don’t miss your chance to get out and take your first turns of the season!"

Sounds like a great opening! Some good pics too...

First day was in the high 40s with loose granular snow. Hat tip to Timberline Mountain for pulling it off.
Press the refresh button with an Alberta Clipper (haven't seen one of those in awhile!) coming in tomorrow along with TM's firepower and all will be good again!....Not too much wind with the clippers usually but the guns will be on for those making turns midweek....

For those more in the know, what do you think the odds of getting more terrain open by next weekend? Have they been making snow on unopened terrain?

Mother Nature might be scheming something...close call but if it swings Canaan's way it's a doozy...
