Yesterday was @Lady_Salina last day at Taos. Spent the day running with few regulars. Had about 3" fresh. Was a good day.

Yesterday's afternoon crew.

The snow wasn't as loud today with the new 6" overnight. It was pretty good in the trees. No pics. Too busy skiing with few regulars and couple of instructors.

Looks like we are getting 10"+ overnight. Already have 8" on the deck. Looks like the 116 will be the ski du jour tomorrow.
Tell Derek I said hi! Hope to ski Taos again next year.

Dude, your boots are unbuckled...
What did Jean, rip, or Alain say about that? You’re slow?

They have never said anythig. I guess my skiing didn't suck bad enough.

Tell Derek I said hi! Hope to ski Taos again next year.

We saw Derek once in the plaza. He haven't been around much.

well the latter half of that statement is correct.

You guys often skied with me. What does it say about you guys.

It's never happened without a photo!

I was with you in the SL on your last day. If you look real hard, you can see it in the pic in post #70.
Senility setting in on at such a young age. :nono:

Back to the matter at hand.

Snowed all day while we were out skiing. Still snowing when we got off the hill.
This was from this morning.

Wonderful day of skiing with various random and non-random folks. It was good.

Well, compared to W/B, it's sunny here at Taos everyday. Even some nights.
Well you know, on the West Coast we only call it rain if the wind blows it sideways and everything else, by default is sunny. ogsmile

That photo doesn't look like a 20" powder day.
Long before the end of the day there is no longer 20" of pow but where is the cut up snow aka storm remnants?

Massive winds did a number of some of the snow Tuesday night. Think 2 foot wind ridges on one side of a run and wind scoured on the other side. 2 spun right away though and west basin was open to meatball from the start. kachina should spin today with the storm ending. Patrol took 3 packs of bombs and brought back 1.5 during control work. 94737DBB-A843-43BE-9B7B-7FFDA481FCEA.jpeg 1D2E1DBD-A9F6-41BF-9A3B-426F153CD253.jpeg D2BB88A8-DBD2-407B-B28A-195564958E47.jpeg

It was couple hours of social skiing late afternoon with "random" folks. Some of the "random" folks preferred less challenging terrain and snow conditions.

Pick up another 7" overnight.
Spent the day mostly in trees and bumps with Mamie and couple long time regulars.
This late season snow pack is probably the best I have ever seen in all my years at Taos. The mountain is skiing exceptionally well.
Usually we navigate through the trees by the various rock clusters on the trails. This year, all the rocks are covered. All our beacons are gone. We are wandering lost in the trees. Help.
