I took a little hiatus from today's cocktail because it had become too much of a habit rather than a treat. I drink enough on the weekends, especially during ski season so I needed to take a little break as I had been free pouring and I realized this is a bad idea, at least for me. My dad was an alcoholic so I've always been paranoid about forming bad habits so I needed to break that habit.

I only drink beer on the weekends and I've really taken to spiked seltzers over a ton of ice and with the low abv and calorie count it doesn't hurt my "diet" either.

I thoroughly enjoy unwinding after a long day of work with something tasty so I said if I did resume I'd do it with recipes instead of free pouring.

I'm going to try a Mojito recipes I'd found. 1 part malibu rum in some soda with a splash of simple syrup and some lime. I think this will be my summer drink.

New favorite recipe

2 ounces of Jose cuervo. What was in the house, not necessarily my tequila of choice
2 oz of orange juice
1/2-ounce of simple syrup
1/2-ounce of lime juice
Cocktail glass with ice.

I'm going with simplicity tonight celebrating a few things.
  • Friday, which means no radiation for two days
  • Tuesday the 15th, which marks the end of radiation.

Bourbon on the rocks in this mug that my friend gave me to celebrate healthy breasts.

Somehow I missed this. Glad treatments are almost over and you are on the road to recovery. Bourbon is a miracle drug. It has gotten me through the pandemic

Its in the rehab and infirmary area.
But since my surgery and follow up treatments I was thinking we need to create a drink called the Twisted Teton.
Teton Vodka, with a twist of lemon and .....What else should we add?

It has to have a maraschino cherry in it. And some Luxardo Maraschino liqueur would be good in that.

Not sure, but it has to be a nip.

But seriously, ouch. I like the idea, just not the name.

How about a Bada Bing Cherry
badabing cherries

I asked @jimmy and @Drahtguy Kevin to work on this since they tend to be mix master co-horts at ski houses, but they only came up with the basics.
Maybe we need a new topic for this??
You guys are on to something.

Just in time for the holidays. The Parisian Blonde.

1 oz rum (I used Pirate XO)
1 oz Dry Curacoa
1 oz heavy cream
Nutmeg

shake over ice and garnish with nutmeg. A highquality rum is essential. 05190F88-191A-4FBA-BBDD-F64DE5BF7C5D.jpeg
