Can one get off Burfield at mid-station and ski to the bottom of the new Crystal, or does that still require a sorta uphill skate on the Crystal Cat Track?
The New Crystal Chair base loading area is relocated 200+ feet east toward the Sunburst (bubble) Chair. So it is pretty much in the same spot, the Crystal Cat Track is still uphill in both directions and useless.

One more thing about Sun Peaks, in spite of managements efforts to get development going in the East Village, it has been the Burfield Base aka West Village that has seen the most development lately: The Burfield Hostel/Hotel has more than doubled in size, condos with lower level retail and townhomes have been built beside the fire hall Retail shops now include a bistro, grocery/wine store, pub, pharmacy. The newest staff housing building is finished and the temporary ATCO trailers are gone.

Well, we unfortunately had to cancel our trips since Canada required proof of vaccines (not sure if that's monthly or weekly shots). Now that we know that actual covid antibodies are much stronger than from vaccines, has there been any talk up there about doing away with the vaccine mandate or accepting positve antibody tests in place of it? If Canada is going to open up, that could play a factor in which pass we buy for next season. Thanks!

Canada has opened up and there are options for entering the country without vaccines as long as you are willing to quarantine and have an essential reason for being in the country. Unfortunately tourism and business travel do not fall into that category. Short of that you need to show proof of a full vaccine regiment (2 shots) if you want to enter Canada and I doubt that will change anytime soon if at all. The same is true of many other countries, so if you want to travel abroad these days, you need to get your shots.
