Thank you for contributing an unofficial ski resort/area guide to Pugski. One of our goals is to give our guides a familiar look and feel, so please get familiar with some of the existing ones, and see these instructions as well.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Main title: boldface, Size 6
  • Subtitles (i.e. "Bump Runs" ): boldface, Size 5
  • Sub-subtitles (i.e. "Crazy Cowboy"): boldface, Size 4
  • Pictures: please use a caption in italics under each picture.
  • Spacing: single spaces between paragraphs and before and after titles; no space between a picture and its caption.
Content
  • Please focus on your own, original content, including pictures.
  • The biggest value added by your guide is your perspective. Keep it fresh and engaging.
  • References to external content are fine, but please give proper credit.
  • Unofficial Guides typically cover terrain (including lifts, runs, and BC areas), food, and lodging.
  • Try to start with an opening to hook the reader (a nice picture and summary of what makes the place unique or enjoyable); next, develop the content; finally, conclude with a short section of additional web resources.
FAQ

Q: How do I upload a picture?
A: Please see instructions below.

Q: Where is my old Epic Unofficial Guide?
A: You can probably still grab a copy from the archives.

Q: Can I bring SomebodyElse's Unofficial Guide from the Epic archives to Pugski?
A: No, sorry. You can only bring your own content.

Adding Images

  1. Go to edit (at any time, you can choose to edit without the notice if editing in the corner).
  2. Click on "More Options."

    UG IMG 1.png

  3. Make sure the cursor is in the spot where you want the image displayed.
  4. Click on "Upload a File."

    UG IMG 2.png

  5. This should take you to a drop-down menu in your browser so you can choose the file you want to upload.

    UG IMG 3.png

  6. Select "Full Image" and continue the process in each location you want a new image.
*You can upload more than one image at a time, but they will be bunched together where the cursor is when you upload. Those images can be moved, but it is time-consuming.

I recently edited my Sun Valley Unofficial Guide and note that the edit date is apparently not shown anywhere. There is apparently no way to check if other guides have been updated.

Am I missing something or could the latest edit date by added?

True! I can only see the edit by clicking in History. Any thoughts, @Dwight ?

That is by design.

Actually, the last edit does show on the desktop version. See the lower right of this image, the "Last Edited" field in gray. I tried both Firefox and Chrome. The mobile version also shows that for me. @Bill Miles , could you check on your side? Is it possible that you missed it (like I did earlier) because it is a light gray?

I see it now. It is easy to miss over there on the right in light font.
Not a big deal, but it would be nice to see the edit date when looking at the list of threads.
Interestingly enough, I don't see the history, delete, IP or warn buttons. Must be adminstrator only?
