the search for a fresh bar of purple swix (ch7) led me to some learnings, and a bar of red Toko, which covers a broader temp range that includes what the ch7 covered.. I'm gathering a few things:
1. fluoro waxes are environmentally unsound, and Toko and Swix are both making 'biodegradeable' lines which are replacing (?) them.
2. they both seem to be converging on a smaller range of waxes each covering a broader range of temps - yellow for warm, red for freezing and on down, and blue for really cold.
do I have it mostly right ?
