Jersey tomatoes are in season and they are so big and juicy. Today's lunch is a tomato sandwich with mayo.

Leftovers of this, One-Pan Zucchini Pesto Orzo (NYT Cooking recipe). I made it when I was desperate to use basil and zucchini. Unfortunately I added too much salt somewhere, but I finished it all today.

Last cookout before both kids move to their college apartments. I snatched a couple ears of corn growing wild next door (neighbors who started that patch no longer live there). They aren't great though... Silk tops are brown but most of the cobs have few kernels. So can of corn..

Is there a sauce or something other than mayo?
Some people like a balsamic vinegar on it. I have tried it and it is okay but sometimes balsamic vinegar doesn't agree with me, especially if I have wine and balsamic vinegar during the same meal.

My dad misses having to get our kids after school so he made grilled cheese at our house for the mid terms 1/2 day.

Try lobster with mushed avacado lemon juice and some Bermuda onion on toast. I sort of invented it when the store up in Maine was out of mayonnaise.
