Is the Corsa a little higher volume than the Lange liner? I’m wondering because the Lange / Rossi plug liner is generally considered lower volume compared to other plug liners. The new Corsa pairs well with my Lange ZA.

Agreed.Yes, it is a bit higher volume.
Good to know… that might be perfect for me.Not by a huge amount without any extra cork, but so you'd notice the difference, definitely.
@Noodler or anyone else: do you know if there is a difference in warmth between old toe box with the shearling fur (like Ugh boots) and the new toe box with Thinsulate & Merino wool. I can get a deal on an older ZF liner with the older toe. But it's not a deal if the new/current toe box is appreciably warmer. Money doesn't matter once you are on the hill. Thanks!

Anyone know if there are differences or concerns heating with a gas oven instead of electric?ZipFit has changed their guidance on liner fitting at least 4 or 5 times since I've been using them. So the risk you take is your own, but I do find it very odd that you ran into this problem. Were you able to fix the soles? What was the result?
Thinking out loud here: If I don’t go to my local hockey shop with convection oven for skates, I will heat my gas oven to its minimum 170 degrees, turn off the gas/oven, wait a few minutes and then pop the liners into the oven. Or if I’m semi-freaked out, will go to my local ski shop 2 hours away. They have two excellent boot fitters.Anyone know if there are differences or concerns heating with a gas oven instead of electric?
Just wrap the liners in a towel etc. before putting them in the oven, and turn it off before putting them in. You just want them warm so the cork gets a little soft. Do NOT use the microwave. A heated boot bag works good too.Thinking out loud here: If I don’t go to my local hockey shop with convection oven for skates, I will heat my gas oven to its minimum 170 degrees, turn off the gas/oven, wait a few minutes and then pop the liners into the oven. Thx! Very helpful. Will go with towel.Just wrap the liners in a towel etc. before putting them in the oven, and turn it off before putting them in. You just want them warm so the cork gets a little soft. Do NOT use the microwave. A heated boot bag works good too.
Thx everyone. So good to hear everyone’s experience and look for commonalities. All very helpful & confirms what @Noodler says. I have him as the ZF guru. The company reps are truly very nice but, unfortunately, I haven’t found them to be particularly helpful via phone. Not trying to bang on them but just sharing my experience. If people are worried about heating them up in ovens, it’s an optional, not mandatory step. The Omfit will mold around your for from use. The pre-use heating just accelerates that.
Other heating options include putting liners in front of a heater (say a gas heater), or in the heated foot well of your car as you drive to the mountain, in a heated boot bag, or a warm drying room. Or none of the above. Oh, and you could utilise one of those specialist boot heaters or ovens in a ski shop.
I’ve used pretty much all those options, and never stuck my boots or liners in the oven. Given the other options are lower risk and achieve much the same thing, or exactly the same thing, why would I?
I find them much warmer than stock liners but I don’t get cold feet. I got the new Gara.Thx everyone. So good to hear everyone’s experience and look for commonalities. Is this a regular or convection ovn? 75 celsius in a regular is the same as 55 in a convection.Last one I did with the newest gen Corsas was heat the liners at 75 Celsius for about 15 minutes, put them on and inserted into shells.
Then, after wearing them for an hour or so, I stuck the shells in the oven at 60 Celsius for ten minutes, put them on, and bam, very happy.
I did the same with my older Corsas. Works quite well.
