Why do Europeans prefer a slim cut for their apparel? Does it serve a function or is it just form?

Man...please stop. It is football we are talking about. FOOTBALL! This is the thing we live for in the summer! Well, besides fishing and cycling that is....

Just imagine:

"Ahí la tiene Maradona, lo marcan dos, pisa la pelota Maradona, arranca por la derecha el genio del fútbol mundial, deja al tercero y va a tocar para Burruchaga... ¡Siempre Maradona! ¡Genio! ¡Genio!

Ooooohhhh booooooyyyyy...
Dude I have to take you to a Michigan Ohio State game someday, or a Red Wings Blackhawks game some day

you would flip

The answer is fashion meets function. The national ski schools decide what movements are in, and it's a lot easier to stick to them if your clothes are too tight.
That is definitely the funniest thing I've seen today.

Tell that to my middle son.
He went for a round at the park's jump in his old stretch (almost old style special slalom trousers) ski trousers...
Upon returning and walking with legs slightly apart, commented: "Now I understand the reason for those baggy pants..."

As for the thread...I prefer to ski in "relaxed" clothing, but end up having this mental image of me as "Dopey".
Usually legs are always too long.
Still, there's M size and M size.
My JAAM (Italian Ski clothing firm) ski jacket in size M and its associated cordura trousers, M again, are huuuge. I should have really ordered an S. My Ortovox (Swiss brand) Guardian Shell M size and the Patagonia (again M size) GTX outer layer I put over it on bad days are quite "slim"...

Long live the FIFA Mafia! Is it World Cup yet!?!?

No - But if you have been following The Champions League tournament you wouldn't have been disappointed.
Just unbelievable - Mind blowing - Real Madrids comebacks alone have been exhausting - HALA MADRID !!!! Como no the voy a querer...

I moved to Paris just as the '86 World Cup was getting started - and it was a revelation. Not just the level and beauty of the play - but the way the whole city was riveted to it. Not casually like most people are here with the Super Bowl - one and done, pass the guac - it was SERIOUS. A drama that deepened game after game.
I can still feel Maradona against England.
Jorge Valdano (#11 in those clips with Maradona and the National team) was a close friend of a family I stayed with in Madrid. He would tell stories of how sometimes they would at times be just be frozen watching him in disbelief.

And true - FOOTBALL fans are different..and there is no place like El Estadio Bernabeu.

None of this explains why Euro sizes are the way they are - but they fit me way better than US sizes.

The real fun begins in the last 4 minutes

Motorcycle Gear has a similar difference between US & Europe! My biking friends call me Eurotrash! ;)

I wear slimmer fit ski stuff with 4 way stretch. Has vents and breathable. Just feel better in it!

Oh - in case you haven't been watching - Madrid lost the first match 3-4 in Manchester (they play 2 games, one in each teams stadium)
Then fell behind another goal in Madrid - aggregate score 3-5 after 90 minutes.
A soccer game regulation time is 90 minutes......
Joder !

You guys over in Europe are nuts on those motorcycles!!! LOL I remember being on the bus in Andorra and watching the motos cruise by ....... the roads were clear and wet, but there was snow everywhere! Yikes! Ever seen the Gendarmerie moto specialists on the Tour de France? (Lovin' the Giro d'Italia right now on GCN+!) OMG those guy are AMAZING riders!

I rode my buds Montesa while I lived in Spain. Fun riding machine, especially at 4am down the sidewalks of some of the old neighborhoods of Barcelona!!! :geek:LMAO

My brother has an SL 55 AMG - also a 2004
Amazing the performance of those cars carrying all that weight (the SWB is less than 2 tons)
And how luxurious…
