I was doing my normal 3 mile walk today and came across this little one. It's about the size of a $0.50 coin and it didn't move when I got close.

Another bird from the heron or egret family from today's kayak trip on a pond about 5 miles from our house...

A lone, noisy duck came over and joined him....

My daily wildlife encounters have been frequent this last week. I've lost count. We've had so many get in the house this year.

Stink bugs. We find them in the house every fall as they search for a warm spot in the walls to overwinter. They overshoot their target and end up inside. Then we get them again in the spring when they try to leave and head the wrong way. I've never seen so many before. Boston is overrun with them right now.
