Goggia was one spot higher than Vlhova! Might be a first. Is that her best showing in GS?
Goggia has been on 5 world cup GS podiums.

As you all probably have noticed, Hanna Aronsson Elfman does not race this weekend. The double JR GS champ, last seasons WC rising star, has some foot issues she is rehabing.

ASL has fiddled a bit with new boots, but said she will go with tried and tested for todays SL.

Whatever is going on seems to be more than just equipment setup. Her line was off in the first run and she barely made the flip. Gotta think there's more to it than just boots.

Colturi making the flip again from bib 57!!!
Brunner & Westhoff also moving up. Brunner was knocking on the door a few years ago in GS, maybe SL soon?
Surprised to not see Vlhova with a commanding lead but maybe not such a surprise after yesterday’s performance. Perhaps the snow just doesn’t agree with her.
Good hustle by Shiffrin at the top & bottom but still seems cautious on the pitch but maybe that’s just smart tactics & she is in first after the first run.
Great to see Holdener firing after Levi.
Gonna be a tight podium with Duerr right there me thinks!

The top 5 skiers were substantially faster than the rest of the field....

Chevrier and Colturi did well coming from such a late start bib to make the second run!

90--Shiffrin crushed it! Unlike Duerr, Vlhova ripped her second run to grab second place. Wendy Holdener got on the podium for third. Moltzan gets 8th.

Marta Rossetti was surprisingly impressive. It was great to see Slokar starting to ski well again.

While not heralded in the same way as the Austrians, Swiss, and Italians--Slovenia, Croatia, and the Canadian women are skiing well.

More Fischer SL’s than expected, Head is making some great SL skis these days.

After watching Vlhova’s second run I did not think it was humanly possible to best that.
same here

Italians beginning to look good in SL.
I’ve been waiting for Slokar to get back in form. She seemed so promising a few years ago.
Rast had a strong 2nd run too.

Although not the fastest in any of the four sectors, MS had the fastest second run. Very smart skiing.
Agreed! Run 2 was the most consistent this season & just smart enough! Like she said in the post race interview,
“I earned it”!
